Job summary

Northern Ireland Housing Executive is seeking a Plumber to join NIHE Direct maintenance teams in Newtownabbey. You will carry out essential domestic repairs and maintenance across residential properties, including plumbing, heating systems, bathroom and kitchen installations, and risk-free work in occupied homes.

The role requires time-served plumbing experience, driving licence, and familiarity with health and safety regulations; 18th Edition and 2391 qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Time-served plumber with post-apprenticeship experience.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and 2391 testing knowledge.
• Experience carrying out domestic plumbing and electrical maintenance in occupied homes.
• Full valid driving licence and ability to work safely in residents' properties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic repairs and maintenance across residential properties.
• Perform bathroom, kitchen and wet room plumbing installations.
• Handle pipework, radiators and heating system tasks.
• Electrical repairs, fault finding and testing in homes.
• Ensure compliance with current regulations and health & safety practices.

• 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
• Full valid driving licence
• Experience in domestic electrical maintenance
• Bathroom, kitchen and wet room plumbing installations
• Pipework, cylinders, radiators and heating systems
• General domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Time-served plumber
• Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience
• Full valid driving licence
• Experience in domestic plumbing maintenance
