Job Description

We are looking for a Heat Pump Plumber to install, maintain, and repair air source and ground source heat pump systems in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing and heating systems, strong problem-solving skills, and knowledge of renewable energy technologies.
Newly qualified candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission air source and ground source heat pumps.
  • Connect heat pumps to existing or new plumbing and heating systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in heat pump systems.
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance to ensure system efficiency.
  • Work with underfloor heating and low-temperature radiators.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics and installation manuals.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Advise customers on energy-efficient heating solutions.
  • Collaborate with electricians, engineers, and other tradespeople as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience or qualifications as a plumber or heating engineer.
  • Full training given Plumbing certification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of heat loss calculations and system design.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Would consider someone newly qualified.
