Job summary

Mears Group is recruiting a Plumber in Milton Keynes to deliver reactive plumbing repairs and routine maintenance within occupied properties as part of a social housing workstream.

You will work independently with support for larger works, use a handheld device for timesheets and evidence, and benefit from a van, fuel card, and uniform.

Qualifications

• NVQ/Plumbing qualifications or proven plumbing experience.
• Experience in social housing environments.
• Full UK driving licence and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Reactive plumbing repairs including minor works.
• Small repairs such as leaking taps and plumbing systems.
• Changing baths and carrying out basic plumbing installations.
• Working independently on most jobs, with support from colleagues on larger works.
• Using a handheld device to record works, timesheets and photographic evidence.
• Maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment to required standards.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and clear communication with residents.
• Adhering to all health and safety, quality and cost control requirements.

About The Role

As a Plumber you will be working with Milton Keynes city council providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. As a Plumber with our Milton Keynes branch, you will undertake a wide range of plumbing repair and maintenance tasks within occupied properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Criteria

• NVQ qualification or proven experience in plumbing
• Experience of working within social housing environments
• Full UK driving licence
