As Plumber at Sodexo, we’re looking for someone who keeps things running smoothly—the one who knows how to solve problems, offer expert advice, and ensure the hospital estate operates at its best. As a Facilities Specialist at Wythenshawe Hospital, you'll be the go-to expert for technical support and maintenance across equipment, building systems, and utility services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of plumbing systems & equipment within the hospital estate, carrying out a range of repairs and new works to a high standard. You will be responsible for the service, installation, maintenance, and testing of complex systems.
  • Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace
  • Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff

What You Bring:

  • Experience repairing plant and equipment, as well as the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose, and repair equipment using your technical knowledge.
  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent and have Building services Knowledge
  • Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills
  • Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude
  • Capable of working as part of a team or unsupervised, and of remaining calm under pressure
