Job description

To carry out a wide range of Mechanical maintenance, including planned preventive maintenance and new work across UHDB retained site, to a high standard. Working on own initiative when applicable or as part of the Estates team. To provide cover when necessary to the hospitals, engaging in a wide range of duties including unskilled tasks when required.

• A multi-skilled approach to a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled work across core trade skills, able to undertake work safely and effectively, complying with all relevant safety legislation, procedures, and the Trust Health and Safety Policy.
• A multi-skilled approach crossing Mechanical/Electrical and Building/Construction maintenance and repairs.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and successfully as part of a team.
• Undertake day-to-day planned preventive maintenance, repairs, checks, and testing of services in a building environment.
• Liaise with Wards and Departments to ensure work requests are specified correctly, efficiently provided, and completed within priority response times, covering plant, equipment, site facilities, building fabric, and infrastructure.
• Attend to all emergencies within the site within a predetermined response time.
