Job summary

Sovereign Network Group in the UK is hiring an experienced Plumber to maintain and repair plumbing across SNG properties in the Basingstoke, Surrey and North Hants locality. You’ll work within the Responsive Repairs Team, often on the road, with a company van and fuel card provided.

The role requires NVQ2 plumbing or 5 years’ experience, a strong health and safety mindset, and the ability to use mobile tech such as an iPad/PDA. Driving licence and CSCS desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 plumbing or 5+ years in core trade with experience in occupied premises.
• Strong health and safety mindset and best practices.
• Team player with ability to use mobile tech (iPad/PDA); CSCS card desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance on SNG properties.
• Install sanitary ware, baths, sinks and new pipework.
• Carry out basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks.

£35,321.00 - £39,827.00 Per year

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified Plumber to join our Property Team in our Basingstoke, Surrey and North Hants locality.

Asyou’ll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you’ll not be out of pocket.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Plumber you’ll complete plumbing repairs and maintenance jobs to SNG’s properties in line with work schedules within our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demand.

Other duties to include basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks.

Tasks to include:

• Repairs to domestic plumbing installations
• Installation of replacement sanitary ware and baths, shower trays and level decks and associated equipment
• Installation of kitchen sinks
• Installation of new pipe work (copper, speed fit, waste, rainwater)
• Installation of new sundry items such as taps and ball valves
• Repairs to sundry items
• Installing and repairing water mains supplies, heating system pipe work and drainage stop taps
• Installing and fixing domestic appliances like showers and washing machines
• Vented and unvented cylinder heads (HWSS qualified or alternative)
• Cold water storage tank maintenance and renewal
• Other duties to include basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks.

What you’ll need:

• You should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing OR have at least 5 years experience within this core trade. You will have experience of working in occupied premises and be able to demonstrateexcellent customer serviceskills.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• The ability to use mobile technology such as iPad or PDA is essential. A current CSCS card is desirable.

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!

Due to the requirement to travel within this role, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years driving experience and have the ability to drive a company van.

This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check and essential qualifications check.
