Job summary

PLM in Worcester is seeking a Consultant to translate client requirements into PLM solutions across engineering and manufacturing environments. You will gather requirements, design PLM configurations and lead implementation initiatives end-to-end.

You’ll deliver training, support data migration and integration with ERP/CAD/IoT platforms, while building trusted client relationships and staying current on PLM trends.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ consultancy or client-facing experience.
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with PTC Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or related field.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Basic project management experience and stakeholder communication.
• Confident running workshops and client conversations.

What will your day to day look like?

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management
• Translate business needs into clear PLM recommendations and solution designs
• Configure PLM systems to match client workflows, business rules and industry requirements
• Support software installation, configuration, customisation and data migration
• Integrate PLM solutions with wider enterprise systems such as ERP, CAD, CRM and IoT platforms
• Lead implementation activity, keeping projects on track against timelines and budgets
• Deliver training and workshops to help client teams get the most from the system
• Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for PLM-related issues
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the project
• Stay current on PLM trends, best practice and emerging digital transformation technologies

You’ll play a key role in helping clients improve efficiency, strengthen collaboration and get more value from their product lifecycle management processes.

This role will suit you if you

• 2-4 years’ experience in consultancy or a similar client-facing role
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments
• Experience with PTC solutions such as Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx

• Strong listening skills and solid consulting acumen
• Self-driven, proactive and comfortable managing your own workload
