Job summary

PLM is seeking a permanent PLM Consultant to work with engineering and manufacturing clients in the Wolverhampton area, translating requirements into practical PLM solutions. You will lead workshops, configure Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx, and guide projects from discovery through delivery, building trusted advisor relationships.

You will collaborate across ERP, CAD and IoT integrations and help clients improve efficiency and collaboration through digital engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ consultancy or client-facing experience.
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solution recommendations.

What will your day to day look like?

• Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management

You’ll play a key role in helping clients improve efficiency, strengthen collaboration and get more value from their product lifecycle management processes.

This role will suit you if you

• 2-4 years’ experience in consultancy or a similar client-facing role
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments
• Experience with PTC solutions such as Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx
• A background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solution recommendations
• Basic project management experience
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Confidence running workshops, training sessions and client conversations
• Strong listening skills and solid consulting acumen
• Self-driven, proactive and comfortable managing your own workload
• Ability to adapt to different client environments and project requirements
• A drive to keep developing your technical and consulting skills
