Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of PLM, the PLM Consultant is responsible for providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and implementation support to clients seeking to optimize their product lifecycle management processes using PTC's suite of solutions, primarily Windchill, Creo, and ThingWorx. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their business needs, analyze requirements, and design tailored PLM solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis: Engage with clients to gather and analyse business requirements related to product development, manufacturing, and lifecycle management, and translate them into actionable recommendations for PLM solutions.
- Solution Design: Assist in the design of PLM solutions leveraging PTC products to address client needs, including process optimisation, data management, workflow automation, and integration with existing enterprise systems.
- Implementation Management: Lead the implementation of PLM solutions, including software installation, configuration, customisation, and data migration, ensuring successful deployment within budget and timeline constraints.
- Configuration: Configure PTC products, such as Windchill, to align with client-specific workflows, business rules, and industry standards, maximising the value of the PLM system.
- Integration Services: Integrate PTC PLM solutions with other enterprise systems, including ERP, CAD, CRM, and IoT platforms, to enable seamless data exchange and collaboration across the organisation.
- Training: Provide training and workshops to client teams on the use of PTC products and best practices for PLM implementation.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support when required and serve as a technical escalation point for PLM-related issues.
- Best Practices and Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PLM and related domains, and share knowledge and insights with clients to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understand their evolving needs and challenges, and serve as a trusted advisor, advocating for PTC products and services that align with their strategic objectives.
Skills and Experience
- 2-4 years consultancy experience
- Has a background or experience in one or more of the following areas
- IT
- Industrial/mechanical design
- Mechanical engineering
- Manufacturing
- Has general digital transformation domain knowledge
- Has basic knowledge of the PDSVISION business process
- Has basic project management experience
Education / Qualifications
- Has basic certifications or proven experience in relevant products
- Has domain certifications or proven experience
