Job summary

The Laurel Academy in Mexborough is seeking a PLC Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role focuses on coordinating personalised learning support and managing the PLC centre for the academy, supporting vulnerable students and promoting welfare.

Working hours are 37 per week, term-time only plus 5 additional days (39 weeks). The post offers stability in a welcoming, community-focused secondary school with a strong track record of improvement.

The Laurel Academy are looking to appoint a PLC Manager to join our academy in November 2026, on a full time, permanent basis.

Your new school

The Laurel Academy is an 11 -16 Academy of 800 pupils serving the town of Mexborough and its surrounding area. The Laurel has a rich history within the town since it was established in 1904 and has numerous notable alumni including Poet Laureate Ted Hughes. Mexborough is an ex mining town with a strong sense of community and some wonderful pupils. People who visit the Academy always comment on the excellent behaviour and conduct of the pupils and the welcoming ethos of the Academy.
