Controls and Instrumentation Engineer

The ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Controls/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with experience of working with Siemens S7 PLCs to join a successful & expanding organisation. Due to continued planned growth, they now require an additional controls engineer. The main purpose of this position will be to programme Siemens 7 PLCs. The scope of this role will also include:

1. Designing & programming PLC software
2. Review project file and confirm Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls scope
3. Development of the P&IDs
4. Preparation of Instrument Data, Electrical drives (VSD) and MCC data sheets
5. Review of the vendor quote
6. Production of wiring schematics and connection diagrams
7. Preparation of BOMs
8. Prepare the PLC/DCS I/O lists

The PERSON
The right candidate will be an intelligent and dynamic individual who wants to develop their career further within this progressive organisation:

1. Experience of programming Siemens 7 PLCs
2. Well educated in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation /Electrical/ Electronic Engineering)
3. Experienced in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
4. Controls knowledge
5. Competent in LV electrical circuit design and panel design
6. Conversant with P&IDs
7. AutoCAD

Salary: Depending on Experience
