MacGregor Black is representing a FMCG manufacturing business in Livingston for an Electrical Controls System Technician. The role is permanent and based on site in Livingston.

The candidate should have an HNC/TEC in electrical/electronic engineering and at least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience. Proficiency with PLCs, wiring regulations, and control systems is essential for maintaining plant reliability.

Formación

• HNC/TEC level in electrical/electronic engineering is required.
• 3 years post electrical apprenticeship experience is expected.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and circuits.
• Experience with test and measuring equipment electrically.
• Knowledge of single and three phase distribution and control.

Responsabilidades

• Keep PLC programme backups up to date across the site.
• Support fault repair and remove/repair inefficiencies on plant.
• Record control faults, remedial actions and follow-up work.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Assist production management during breakdown situations.
