Job summary

St Maxentius CE Primary School (Max Club) is seeking a Play Worker to join our Out of School Club. The role offers a permanent, term-time position with a start ASAP and requires working 7.15-9.00 and 15.15-18.15 Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will have experience with children aged 4-11, plan and deliver creative play, and support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing while communicating well with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children aged 4–11 years.
• Ability to plan and deliver creative, high quality play opportunities.
• Ability to encourage positive behaviour and provide emotional support.
• Good communication with parents, children and school staff.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good judgement, common sense and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Join the Out of School Club as Play Worker.
• Provide a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment for children.
• Plan and deliver engaging play activities.
• Support children and families and work with school staff.
• Demonstrate safeguarding and promote wellbeing where appropriate.

• has sound judgement, common sense and lots of initiative
• has sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children

Desirable has first aid, food hygiene or safeguarding certificates
