Play Worker, Stornoway Primary Afterschool Club - hours per week, term time, permanent post

Salary: £5,072 - £5,565 per annum, including £480 Distant Islands Allowance

The post holder will:

1. Liaise with the Senior Playworker to plan and implement play programmes and activities.
2. Support the Senior Playworker with the day-to-day administration of the club.
3. Provide cover for the Senior Playworker as required.

Requirements:

• Proven childcare experience and a qualification meeting the SSSC requirements for Practitioners.
• Knowledge of child development and familiarity with activities suitable for primary school-aged children.

This position is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme regarding regulated work with children.

Salary includes Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment will be at the first point of the grade.
