Job summary

Kelsall Primary and Nursery School is seeking an enthusiastic Play Lead to join our Before and After School Club. You will plan and facilitate activities for children of different ages, ensuring a positive, engaging and well-organised start and end to the school day.

The Play Lead will run the club day-to-day, guide other staff, and uphold safeguarding, inclusion and high-quality care within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Warm, approachable, organised and able to use their initiative.
• Understanding of play, child development and positive behaviour support.
• Ability to lead and support other team members and model professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate a varied range of enjoyable activities for children.
• Take a key role in day-to-day running of the club and ensure a consistent approach.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues; safeguard and include everyone.
