Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Assistant to join our team, helping to provide a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting. As a Play Worker, you will facilitate play activities, support children's development, and ensure their well-being during their time with us.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and social interaction.
  • Manage behaviour in a positive manner, fostering respect and cooperation among children.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the children's needs.
  • Provide support to children with special educational needs or disabilities as required.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Proven leadership abilities to manage groups of children effectively.
  • Experience in childcare or nursery settings is highly desirable.

This role will also require you to drive children between the club and their school using company vehicles.
