A specialist school in the UK is seeking a Play Assistant to support pupils with severe learning disabilities, autism, and other conditions. The role involves working part-time during term time, assisting with daily activities in a nurturing environment. Ideal candidates should have experience with special needs and excellent communication skills. Salary ranges from £8,244.55 to £8,479.44 actual, with multiple locations for work.
Salary: Grade C, Point 10-14. Actual Salary: £8,244.55-£8,479.44 (FTE £27,729-£28,519). Hours: 12.5 hours per week, working 11.30am to 2pm, term time only.
Dysart School is an Outstanding special school for 198 pupils aged 4 to 19 who have a range of severe and complex learning difficulties. The School has high expectations for its pupils and believes there is no limit to their potential. Its main site in Surbiton is bright and well equipped to support development including Early Years classrooms with outdoor learning spaces, a dedicated post-16 hub, an accessible swimming pool, a sensory room, soft play and adventure play areas, and generous grounds for play and outdoor learning. The school also runs three satellite sites next to mainstream schools to meet the need for high-quality SEN places in the borough of Kingston.
These are located at Tolworth KT6 7QJ and two in North Kingston KT2 5TU.
