To succeed as a Platform Solution Architect, you should have experience with:

• Enterprise-Scale Infrastructure Expertise: Designing, implementing, and managing large-scale infrastructure solutions supporting enterprise applications, with a strong understanding of network architecture, operations, and scalability.
• Cloud Computing Proficiency: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including architecture, migration, and leveraging cloud services for performance, cost, and security optimization.
• Hands-On Software Development Background: Practical experience in software development across multiple programming languages and frameworks.

Additional valued skills include:

• DevOps and Automation: Proficiency with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Security and Compliance: Strong knowledge of security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent skills in working with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and stakeholders.

This role is based in our Knutsford office and involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions to complex business problems, balancing technology risks with business needs, and driving consistency.

• Applying workload placement strategies to maximize cloud benefits.
• Creating secure, resilient designs that meet the Bank’s standards.

• Promoting standard solutions and contributing to their evolution.
• Supporting operational teams with fault finding and performance issues.
• Assessing solution impacts on risk, capacity, and costs.
• Developing architecture artifacts for governance compliance.
