ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a high-performing consultancy within a larger tech organisation, delivering secure and innovative software and infrastructure solutions for the UK Defence sector. With several new projects underway, they are hiring a Platform Solution Architect to take on a key leadership role within a large-scale tech refresh programme. This is a major opportunity to shape core platform architecture on a mission-critical programme.

THE PLATFORM SOLUTION ARCHITECT ROLE

As Platform Solution Architect, you’ll act as the technical authority on a large Defence transformation project. You’ll lead the architectural vision, define requirements, and work closely with delivery teams to ensure scalable, secure and robust platform solutions. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end architecture lifecycle from initial design through to deployment and assurance.

PLATFORM SOLUTION ARCHITECT ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Experience defining platform architecture in large enterprise IT environments
• Strong background in both public (AWS, Azure) and private cloud deployments
• Skilled in producing technical statements of requirements and HLDs/LLDs
• Hands-on background with infrastructure, platform, and cloud-native tooling
• Ability to lead technical teams and influence stakeholder decisions
