Platform Solution Architect

We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Due to growth within our Defence business, we are seeking an experienced Platform Solution Architect to join our Defence Team on a live project.

Role Location:

You can work from any of our six UK offices (including Bristol, Cheltenham, and London) or from home. The role requires 2-3 days onsite at Corsham on the customer site.

The Opportunity:

As an experienced Platform Solution Architect, you will work on a large technology refresh project for a Defence customer, serving as the technical authority for the platform. Your responsibilities include developing architecture, owning design, configuration, and specifications, and overseeing the project lifecycle from concept to maintenance.

Typical responsibilities include:

1. Implementing complex platform solutions, including design, development, and testing.
2. Providing technical assurance alongside Technical Leads.
3. Drafting technical statements of requirements for platform solutions.
4. Defining and assessing technical architectures, solutions, and business requirements.
5. Producing high- and low-level technical designs and operating models.
6. Ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban.
7. Supporting customers with technology choices and complex problem-solving.
8. Utilizing a range of technologies, especially open-source libraries.
9. Deploying in various environments, including AWS, Azure, and private cloud.
10. Managing customer relationships.
11. Keeping up with technological advancements.
12. Providing leadership and support to delivery teams.

Requirements:

• Experience with building Enterprise IT systems in the Defence sector.
• Ability to define and assess technical architectures and business requirements.
• Experience creating technical statements of requirements for cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in producing technical designs.
• Eligibility for high-level security clearance (British citizen, UK residence for the last 5 years).
