Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Platform Security Research Engineer to join the HP Security Lab. The role focuses on designing secure hardware and firmware architectures for future endpoint devices, and to help plan innovation roadmaps with business units across HP.

You will develop prototypes, validate use cases, and communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. A degree in a relevant field is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with hardware and firmware technologies (x86, ARM, UEFI, PCIe, DMA, etc.)
• Knowledge of computer architecture
• Ability to analyse and model threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations
• Strong engineering skills
• Knowledge or interest in endpoint security
• Ability to convey technical knowledge to both technical experts and non-technical teams alike

Platform Security Research EngineerDescription -We have an exciting opportunity to join the HP Security Lab for an experienced hardware and firmware research engineer, who will focus on researching and designing security architecture for future endpoint devices to be more secure and manageable in tomorrow’s threat landscape. The role will be part of our world class Platform Security Research team to help push the boundaries of hardware-firmware co-design for security and next generation platform roots of trust.On a daily basis, you will be working closely with systems security research engineers, developing and prototyping new technologies and architectures, and engaging with technologists in business units across HP to identify opportunities and help plan innovation roadmaps for the future.The successful candidate will have solid system security skills and an accomplished background in low level computer architecture engineering, ideally with knowledge and understanding of enterprise IT architectures.
