Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies is seeking a hands-on Security Platform Engineer to build and operate security platforms as code across engineering and research environments. You will automate identity, secrets, and trust workflows and reduce operational toil through platform engineering and standardized security patterns.

You will own outcomes of the systems you build, collaborate with platform owners, and help teams adopt secure patterns without slowing delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security/platform engineering or related discipline.
• Strong engineering judgement and systems thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and curiosity.
• Pragmatic approach balancing security, usability, and delivery.
• Ability to automate repetitive work and reduce manual processes.
• Experience with Vault, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Python/Go.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate security platforms as code.
• Build reusable platform capabilities to reduce operational complexity.
• Automate identity, secrets, and trust workflows.
• Define and evolve secrets, identity, and workload authentication patterns.
• Develop custom integrations, tooling, and Vault extensions where value is clear.
• Debug production issues across infrastructure, applications, and platforms.
• Help teams adopt secure patterns without slowing delivery.
• Reduce operational toil through automation, platform engineering, and standardized security patterns.
