Job summary

Wordsmith is building a dedicated employee platform in Edinburgh to provision, secure and support every team member across identity, devices and access. You’ll own onboarding, offboarding and the tooling that makes this process automatic and auditable.

You’ll write real code, work with AI agents, and operate hands-on hardware in a fast-growing, security-conscious environment. This role is on-site in Edinburgh with a focus on automation and reliability.

Qualifications

• Writes real code and automates with APIs and scripts (Python/Bash/TypeScript).
• Thinks in systems: identity, access, data flows and lifecycle.
• Comfortable using AI coding agents to build tooling fast.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding, access, devices and offboarding as one connected system.
• Build tooling that removes manual steps and enables zero-touch workflows.
• Write infrastructure as code to configure devices and enforce security baselines.
• Create an automated offboarding flow that revokes access and reclaims hardware.
