An exciting and newly created opportunity has come up at OCU for a Platform Process Manager to come and join us based in Preston.This is a pivotal new role within a forward-thinking and rapidly evolving organisation, you willhelp shape how
key digital platforms deliver value beyond go-live, with influence over how they are governed, evolvedand adopted across the business.

You willplay a strategic role in the ongoingsuccess of OCU’s Workforce and Automation Platforms. The role focuses on embedding and evolvingthese platforms beyond initial process, ensuring that capability releases are aligned to businesspriorities and operationalised effectively. It combines elements of governance, iterative change, stakeholder alignment, and roadmap planning within a fast paced and transformative environment.

About the Role

You will siton the platform Design Authority (DA) forums, manage configuration reviews and capabilitypipelines, and coordinate small, frequent automation releases. This opportunitywill ensure process changesare well-governed, understood and embedded into everyday operations. Bridging the gap betweendigital capability and business value.

  • You willlead roadmap planning and iterative capability across Workforce and Automationplatforms; clearly articulating process improvements.
    • Participate in and coordinate Design Authority (DA) forums, CABs and change controlprocesses
    • Align platform decisions with operational needs and business objectives
  • Engage with SMEs, platform users, and business units to drive adoption and maximisevalue

Key skills and requirements

The ideal candidate may come from an operational, digital, or PMO background but must be able toorganise effectively, drive process change, and work collaboratively across distributed teams. Externalsupplier management is not a core aspect of this role; however, coordinating between on-site andremote internal delivery teams is crucial.

  • Proven experience in digital operations, platform delivery aligned to business processesor change management within a complex environment driving transformation.
    • Strong understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement cycles
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills, and able to drive decisions acrossbusiness and technical teams
    • Familiarity with digital platforms used for workforce management or process automation
    • Comfortable managing stakeholder forums, capability roadmaps, and operational
    planning.
