Job summary

Nixor, a Manchester-based startup, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to own key integrations linking the platform with HR and recruitment ecosystems. You’ll work across REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication flows, collaborating with senior technical leadership as the product scales.

The role offers hybrid working in Manchester, with mentorship from a fractional CTO and opportunities to grow into broader technical ownership while influencing engineering direction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience building or integrating REST APIs.
• Experience across backend and frontend development.
• Able to work autonomously with limited guidance.
• Interested in taking greater technical ownership over time.

Responsibilities

• Build and own integrations with third-party platforms.
• Design and work with REST APIs, webhooks and authentication flows such as OAuth.
• Troubleshoot problems across multiple systems when integrations or data flows don't behave as expected.
• Contribute across the stack using Node.js / TypeScript and React.
• Work with PostgreSQL and AWS within a live production environment.
• Help shape integration architecture and engineering standards as the platform scales.
• Work directly with senior technical leadership on engineering decisions and priorities.
• Gradually take greater ownership as the internal engineering capability develops.
