Working pattern/flexible working: Hybrid approach with office attendance on Tuesdays and ad-hoc meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a team covering a spectrum of technologies in a hybrid enterprise environment.
• Drive and be accountable for business outcomes related to your services.
• Collaborate with Partners, vendors, and third-party providers to ensure effective service delivery and strategy.
• Manage operational risks and support business-critical issues, providing effective solutions.
• Act as technical authority during major incidents, coordinating responses and communication.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and understand the business landscape.
• Manage technology towers, influence network evolution, and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Own product backlog as Product Owner, defining vision and prioritising workloads.
• Ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in infrastructure management.
• Manage vendors to ensure security, stability, and performance of network services.
• Develop demand forecasts and manage third-party network services.
• Align deliverables with architectural and business strategies, producing business cases for change.
• Manage full lifecycle of network infrastructure with strategic roadmaps.
• Serve as SME and escalation point for your technology towers.
• Identify cost efficiencies and manage capacity and utilisation.
• Collaborate with Security Operations to shape policies.
• Work with other Infrastructure and Product teams to embed capabilities.

Essential skills/experience

• Deep technical expertise in on-premise and cloud networking technologies.
• Experience leading IT delivery in agile environments and managing managed services.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies & DevSecOps frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical audiences.
• Strong commercial and operational acumen, with experience in building relationships.
• Technical expertise in SDWAN, WAN, MPLS, DWDM, Cloud Networking, LAN/WiFi, Firewalls, Load Balancing, UCaaS, CCaaS, SNS, TDM, Z, PCI, VPN.

Desirable skills/experience

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• FinOps experience: budgeting, forecasting, cost optimisation.
• Experience in the retail sector, both physical and online.
