Job summary

Allianz Partners is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (Infrastructure) to lead Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps and MLOps teams, building scalable infrastructure for a secure data and AI ecosystem.

You will own capacity planning, hiring, and delivery excellence while collaborating with senior tech leaders to shape architecture and operational practices across a large, matrixed organisation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven experience leading Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering teams.
• Experience managing multiple teams within a complex technology organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, MLOps and Infrastructure teams.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Support senior engineers in growing into technical leaders.
• Foster ownership and operational excellence across teams.
• Own workforce planning and resource strategy.
• Balance platform investments with reliability and priorities.
• Partner with cloud platforms, tooling, CI/CD, GitOps, and MLOps leaders.
• Champion golden paths and standard practices across teams.
• Drive platform reliability, security, and observability improvements.
• Collaborate with governance, security, and leadership on roadmaps.
• Lead cross-team planning and stakeholder alignment.
• Scale onboarding and development programs.
