BLP Digital is expanding into the UK with a London presence. We seek a fullstack engineer with a strong backend focus who enjoys building reliable systems and applying strong software fundamentals. You will work across backend services, APIs, and frontend features, influencing platform direction and mentoring teammates.

The role emphasizes practical engineering, ownership, and collaboration with product teams. Remote within Europe is possible, with on-site options in London as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field.
• At least 5 years in a software engineering role with backend focus.
• Strong frontend knowledge in React/TypeScript, even if backend is primary.
• Experience with functional programming concepts.
• Strong software craftsmanship, Clean Code and Clean Architecture.
• Product thinking and entrepreneurial mindset with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop shared backend services and APIs with clear contracts.
• Collaborate with product and stakeholders to remove platform friction.
• Build robust, reliable systems and continuously improve them.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Shape architecture and collaborate on tech stack decisions.
• Mentor team members and guide major initiatives like migrations.
• Foster innovation and collaboration across the team.
