Job Description: The Platform Engineering team manages the platform layer in our global cloud environments that serve data, analytics, and application development teams across Mars.

The Platform Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading a development team in the conception, implementation, and rollout of new solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers, enabling our businesses to pursue aggressive digital strategies.

What are we looking for?

• University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Strong experience with cloud engineering and/or software development
• Experience building and deploying services in the cloud
• Proficiency in multiple coding languages, with a strong preference for hands-on technical experience
• Comfortable implementing both open-source frameworks and enterprise applications
• Strong leadership capabilities, with a collaborative approach to building and maintaining high-performing teams
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership

• Lead a team of platform engineers in delivering microservices architectures and global platform deployments
• Ensure team deliverables align with business goals and technical standards across a diverse project portfolio
• Oversee the technical direction of projects, from microservices to global platforms
• Design and develop tools that enable customers to build efficient, scalable, and advanced data and analytics solutions
• Interface with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to communicate technical strategies
• Become a subject matter expert in new platform technologies
• Leverage product management frameworks to develop business requirements

The starting salary range is USD 57,014 to USD 78,396, but may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and skills. The total compensation may include variable pay, benefits, 401(k), and paid time off, depending on the position and work schedule.
