Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team in Manchester, UK, for a full-time hybrid role. As a Platform Engineer, you will work across continuous integration, development, build, and deployment using automation and cloud technologies to support the growth of DevOps tooling.

Your Profile

• Proven leadership in designing and maintaining Kubernetes-based platform solutions, with hands-on expertise in cluster orchestration, performance tuning, and guiding teams.
• Extensive knowledge of Docker, Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins), enabling seamless application delivery and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Proficient in architecting and supporting solutions on cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Skilled in version control using Git, with experience in advanced workflows, and familiar with build tools like Maven and NPM for dependency and artifact management.
• Experience implementing service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) and container networking tools like Calico for secure and efficient service communication.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Linux shell scripting and Python, to improve operational efficiency.
• Exposure to mobile CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS, contributing to a unified delivery platform across frontend and backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach to resolving complex platform issues.
