• Manage and deliver Kafka, databases, and other stateful workloads.

Skills

Operational experience with distributed systems

Experience developing with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL)

Experience delivering cloud infrastructure with Terraform

Good knowledge of Go

Experience managing stateful workloads ideally in Kubernetes

Knowledge and experience using a commercial cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)

What you'll do

As our Platform Engineer, you'll be joining our team to manage and deliver Kafka, databases and other stateful workloads to engineers.

Day to day, you'll be:

• Making changes to the platform, adding new features and ensuring defects are resolved in a timely manner
• Creating solutions that enhance the developer experience and introducing new features through a self-service platform rooted in Kubernetes
• Designing and implementing solutions to increase the stability, resilience and security of our stateful platform
• Developing clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well tested and easy to maintain and extend

The skills you\'ll need

To thrive as a Platform Engineer at NatWest Boxed, you\'ll need to be able to design and develop our internal stateful developer platform.
