Job summary

SiXworks is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and implement CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes configurations, and monitoring systems. You will collaborate with the Platform team to ensure our solutions meet development requirements and operate reliably across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Your role includes driving automation, managing repositories, and guiding best practices for scalable, secure platforms in a fast-paced defence tech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Platform Engineering/SRE, Platform Integration or related roles.
• Strong Kubernetes configuration and container orchestration knowledge.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Proficient in monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana; solid Git usage and repo management.
• Automation-focused with a track record of improving operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• UK National with eligibility for SC clearance.

Responsibilities
