Leading API, repo and Platform strategy, the Global Platform community is driving the adoption of Gluon and a number of API initiatives, including obsolescence remediation.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Supporting the rationalisation of the IT BAU spend on Software and SaaS licences across the organisation.

  • Creation of business cases and financial management through portfolio management tooling (Planview)

What you’ll bring:

  • Technical understanding of how APIs work, developer platform systems such as GitHub.

  • Knowledge of how pipeline or workflows work for code deployment across different environments.

  • A broad understanding of change management governance, the inputs required, and the tools used.

  • A high-level understanding of technology within Santander UK ideally gained from technical project delivery.

  • Experience of effective stakeholder engagement across business and technology.

  • An understanding of financial management and a drive to deliver cost savings across the IT BAU estate.

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Knowledge of the CIO Domains, key stakeholders and responsibilities as most tasks will be matrix aligned across these entities.

  • Proactive nature, work with evolving goals and objectives.

  • An understanding of the ‘Go To Model’

What else you need to know:

  • We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles)

  • If you apply for this role in this location, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location.

  • We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns and arrangement within this hybrid approach during the recruitment process.
