Job summary

Provn, a highly technical engineering firm, is looking for a Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure underpinning its real-time production systems. The role focuses on building high-performance, reliable platforms in a fast-moving environment where delivery speed matters to commercial outcomes.

You’ll shape tooling, CI/CD, observability and developer experience, with the freedom to identify problems, set direction and ship improvements from idea to production.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building, running and automating production infrastructure.
• Proven ability to design and operate scalable cloud-based platforms.
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and performance tuning.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and CI/CD processes.
• Track record improving reliability and observability of production systems.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve infrastructure underpinning real-time, 24/7 production systems
• Build reliable deployment, rollback and operational workflows
• Improve observability across metrics, logging, dashboards, tracing and alerting
• Develop tooling and automation to enable faster, safer shipping
• Improve CI/CD, build processes, test environments and configuration workflows
• Work at the Linux/infrastructure level to improve performance and latency
• Automate repetitive operational processes and remove bottlenecks
• Build internal tools used across the engineering team
• Contribute to infrastructure security and access controls
• Identify infrastructure problems and drive improvements to production
