Job summary

Atlassian Williams F1 Racing Team in Wantage, UK, is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure across hybrid-cloud and on-prem environments, with a focus on self-service tooling for developers and AI-assisted workflows.

You will automate with Terraform, Crossplane and Helm, implement GitOps for delivery, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and drive reliability with SRE practices across AWS, edge, and trackside deployments.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes provisioning and lifecycle management (AKS, EKS, on-prem).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm.
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker, Helm and Operators.
• Cloud platforms — AWS and/or Azure.
• CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions or similar).
• GitOps workflows (e.g. ArgoCD).
• Monitoring, logging and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana and Loki.
• Scripting and automation in Python, Bash or similar.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters across hybrid-cloud environments.
• Define scalability, security, high availability and multi-tenancy patterns.
• Use Terraform, Crossplane and Helm to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Build reusable modules and automation that enable teams to self-serve infrastructure.
• Enable application delivery through GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines and Helm deployments.
• Contribute to platform tooling for AI-assisted developer workflows.
• Coach teams on modern delivery practices and tooling.
• Maintain a self-service deployment platform for non-technical users.
• Operate production workloads with an SRE mindset and measure reliability.
• Contribute to on-call readiness, incident response and root cause analysis.
• Apply security best practices for Kubernetes and support audit/compliance requirements.
