Job summary

RedRock Resourcing in Cardiff is partnering with a large organisation to hire Platform Engineers (Azure) for a hybrid role. You will support development and continuous improvement of software delivery capabilities within a collaborative technology team, working across cloud and on-premises environments.

The role focuses on developing DevOps capabilities, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes and secure, scalable engineering practices in line with Agile or hybrid delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Experience developing DevOps capabilities and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and cloud-based technologies.
• Understanding of on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including virtualization and containers.
• Experience with SQL and .NET.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies and CI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance DevOps capabilities, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Build, configure and maintain technical environments, integrations and data across the SDLC.
• Improve build automation, source control, testing and release management processes.
• Support integration and non-functional testing, including performance, security, availability and reliability.
• Work across cloud and on-premises infrastructure, selecting appropriate technologies to meet delivery requirements.
• Identify and implement tools and techniques that improve efficiency and reduce delivery complexity.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to understand requirements and promote adoption of new capabilities.
• Use DevOps metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Promote secure engineering practices and a strong DevOps culture.

Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, build automation, automated testing and deployment tooling.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and cloud-based technologies.
• Understanding of on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including virtualisation, containerisation and microservices.
• Experience with technologies such as SQL and .NET, alongside relevant automation and infrastructure tools.
• Knowledge of non-functional testing, including security, scalability, availability and reliability.
