Job summary

Sanderson in London is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to design, build and support secure, highly available AWS-based platforms and APIs.

You will own infrastructure, implement IaC with Terraform, and develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and Jenkins while working with Kubernetes and Fargate.

This role emphasizes security, reliability and collaboration with Architecture and Security teams in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or SRE.
• Strong AWS production experience.
• Terraform IaC expertise.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines & containerized/serverless workloads.
• Experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins and similar tooling.
• Support containerised and serverless workloads using Kubernetes, Docker and AWS Fargate.
• Own and support production services and APIs.
• Monitor platform health, performance and availability.
• Manage observability, logging and alerting capabilities.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure security and compliance.
• Create and maintain technical docs, runbooks and processes.
