Job summary

SoCode Limited in Cambridge is seeking a hands-on Contract Platform Engineer to help automate a complex cloud infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, security and self-service workflows.

You will develop reusable Terraform modules for AWS, strengthen GitLab CI pipelines, and implement secure infrastructure changes across hybrid environments, collaborating with engineering, security and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS and Terraform experience, including brownfield environments.
• Experience with remote state management and safe infrastructure changes.
• Proficient in Terraform modules and AWS services (IAM, EC2, S3, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop reusable Terraform modules and AWS repositories.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for infra validation, tests, security checks, deployment.
• Build self-service infrastructure workflows with approvals and audit trails.
• Develop lightweight platform services using Python or Go.
• Review infra changes for security and reliability.
• Collaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams.
