Job summary

The Fidelis Partnership is a Bermuda-based, privately owned Managing General Underwriter with a global footprint. We specialise in property, specialty and reinsurance, powered by data and technology to deliver sophisticated underwriting solutions.

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Analytics Product Engineering team. You will design, build and operate platform capabilities, drive IaC, CI/CD, observability and security, and collaborate with software engineers, data scientists and IT

Qualifications

7+ years in platform engineering, DevOps or SRE.
Experience with hybrid, bare metal and virtualized infrastructure.
Strong networking, security, and access control knowledge, including Microsoft Entra.
Obser vability practices including logging, monitoring and alerting.
Experience provisioning and managing SQL Server installations.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the platform engineering strategy and roadmap aligned to analytics product needs.
Design and operate distributed runtime environments including compute orchestration.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated environment provisioning.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for distributed systems.
Implement observability through logging, metrics and alerting to improve reliability.
Monitor and optimise system performance, throughput and resource utilisation.
Ensure platform security, access control and compliance with internal standards.
Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and support procedures.
