Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and FinOps is essential.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Terraform required.
• Understanding of CI/CD and SDLC frameworks is beneficial.

We are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join a leading banking client on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on FinOps, automation, and Azure services.

Location: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite in London)

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and enhance Azure cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability and cost efficiency (FinOps)
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash
• Work within DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) and SDLC frameworks
• Contribute to efficient operation of Grid DataSynapse environments
• Ensure best practices across cloud and infrastructure operations

Must-Have Skills:

• PowerShell scripting
• Terraform
• Experience with Cloud FinOps / cost optimization

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Bash scripting
• Automation using scripting and programming languages
• Familiarity with DataSynapse GridServer
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies
