Job summary

Sinara is seeking a Platform Engineer to manage and improve Kubernetes infrastructure, AWS environments, and CI/CD pipelines. You will enable secure, scalable software delivery while supporting SaaS platforms and cloud-native architectures.

The role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, and modern GitOps tooling, with hybrid working in Bermondsey, London. Training and certification support are provided.

Qualifications

• Extensive AWS cloud experience and production AWS admin.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in production.
• Docker and Kubernetes expertise.
• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiar with CI/CD platforms and deployment automation.
• Monitoring/observability with CloudWatch/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK.
• Linux systems administration knowledge.
• Troubleshooting complex infra issues.
• Networking knowledge: DNS, load balancing, TLS/SSL.
• DevOps or SRE practices exposure.
• Experience with Amazon EKS.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
• Security best practices in AWS/Kubernetes.
• GitOps tooling: Helm, ArgoCD.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience supporting SaaS platforms.
• AWS and Kubernetes certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).
• CKA/CKAD certifications.

Responsibilities

About the role

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the management, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our Kubernetes infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in operating and enhancing our Kubernetes environments, containerised workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving platform resilience, and enabling development teams to deliver software efficiently and securely.

About you

• Strong experience administering and supporting AWS cloud environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong understanding of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing cloud‑native applications and microservices architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and deployment automation.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
• Good understanding of Linux systems administration.
• Experience troubleshooting complex application and infrastructure issues.
• Knowledge of networking principles including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and TLS/SSL.
• Experience working within DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Experience with Amazon EKS.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of security best practices within AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, or other GitOps tooling.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other database technologies.
• Experience supporting SaaS platforms.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS SysOps Administrator.
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or similar).

Working hours

Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week. We are currently working on a flexible hybrid workplace basis.
