Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking a Platform Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain environments for software solutions in the defense sector. This hybrid role involves some travel and requires strong Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure, Terraform proficiency, and knowledge of security features. Candidates must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance prior to starting.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying and maintaining environments, tooling, and pipelines to support the development and deployment of software solutions to high-profile customers within the defence sector. This role is hybrid, involving some travel to customer sites as needed (approximately once per month), especially during launches and deployments.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure, including understanding of networking and infrastructure management tools within the platform.
• Experience with security features and implementations within Azure.
• Proficiency in using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience working with both Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of deploying infrastructure as code and managing remote Terraform state files, understanding of Azure Landing Zone, networking, security architecture, and NiFi.
