Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Contract Platform / DevOps Engineer – AWS to support major UK Government digital projects from home, delivering secure, scalable cloud services using AWS, Terraform and open-source tooling.

You will join an experienced team, build and optimize cloud infrastructure, automate provisioning and CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot high-availability systems, all within a fully remote, 12-month engagement with a £550/day rate inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong Linux knowledge (GNU/Linux).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Scripting in Python, Go or Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

A leading technology consultancy is looking for an experienced Platform / DevOps Engineer to support major UK Government digital projects.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, technically challenging platforms, using modern cloud technologies and open-source tools to build secure, scalable and reliable services — all from home.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You'll join an experienced engineering team working across cloud infrastructure, platform engineering and DevOps automation. You'll help build and continuously improve digital services, contribute to technical solutions and tackle complex engineering challenges in a collaborative environment.

With a 12-month contract, £550 daily rate and fully remote working, this is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a long-term engagement without the daily commute.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Building and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
