Job summary

Allstate in Northern Ireland is seeking a Platform Consultant to shape enterprise-scale platform design across AI, data platforms, and tooling. The role focuses on cohesive, reusable, and governed platform ecosystems enabling secure, scalable adoption.

You will translate operational intent into architecture for interoperable AI systems and data platforms, while guiding cross-functional teams to reduce fragmentation and maximize reuse.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering in at least 3 paradigms (procedural, functional, object-oriented)
• Experience delivering large-scale distributed systems (cloud-native microservices)
• Strong knowledge of Agile/XP and DevOps practices (TDD, CI/CD)
• Experience with agentic AI platforms, governance, and platform orchestration

Responsibilities

• Define architecture patterns, integration standards, and ecosystem strategy
• Establish APIs, data models, security controls, and observability requirements
• Drive Data & AI enablement with high-quality, structured data for AI
• Design unified tooling and platform integration across ACP, SD&O, and T&P
• Promote scalable, reusable platform components and governance-driven adoption
