Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Plater / Welder to join a Doncaster fabrications team in South Yorkshire. The role requires reading engineering drawings and MIG welding on mild steel to engineering specifications.

You will prepare materials, perform welding, inspect weld quality, and work closely with fabricators to meet production deadlines in a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Competence in MIG welding
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and MIG weld components to specifications

PLATER / WELDER

We are recruiting for an experienced Plater / Welder to work for our client who are in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

THE DUTIES OF A PLATER / FABRICATOR:

• Reading engineering drawings
• MIG welding on mild steel components to engineering specifications
• Prepare materials prior to welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and structural standards
• Work closely with fabricators and other team members to meet production deadlines
• Use welding equipment and tools safely and correctly
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Competence in MIG welding
• Excellent communication skills

THE HOURS:

Monday – Thursday 6am - 2.30pm / Friday 6am-1pm

THE PAY:

You will earn between £17.50-£18.25 per hour
