Job summary

The Best Connection Dudley is recruiting a Plater/Fabricator for our long-time client in Cradley Heath. The role offers regular shifts, Monday to Friday, with a path to permanent employment.

Key duties include reading drawings, cutting and assembling steel, fabricating structural components, and performing quality checks with various fabrication tools. Training and ongoing assignments provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Plater, Fabricator or Fabricator Welder.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Experience with mild steel; stainless steel/aluminium helpful.
• Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Mark out, cut, shape and assemble steel components.
• Fabricate structural steel, plate work and bespoke fabrications.
• Tack weld where required prior to final welding.
• Use fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, grinders and drill.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specification.

The Best Connection Dudley are recruiting for a Plater/Fabricator for our long time client in Cradley Heath The role offers regular shifts Monday to Friday role with the chance to become straight permanent

Pay rate & Hours:

• Monday - Friday
• 7:00 AM - 16:00 PM

Responsibilities of the:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Mark out, cut, shape and assemble steel components
• Fabricate structural steel, plate work and bespoke fabrications
• Tack weld where required prior to final welding
• Use fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, grinders and drill.
• carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specification

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Plater, Fabricator, Fabricator Welder
• ability to read and work from technical drawings
• experience working with mild steel (stainless steel and aluminium experience is advantageous
• good attention to to detail and strong work ethic
