Qualifications

  • Time-served Fabricator/Plater via formal apprenticeship or relevant vocational training.
  • 4 years of experience in Plating or Fabricating preferred.

Responsibilities

Hours

06.45 15:15 Monday to Thursday.

06:45 14:15 Friday

Pay for a Plater

Day Shift - £18.22/hour + Overtime (time + half)

Duties include: Plater

  • Reading & Interpreting Drawings: Working with detailed engineering drawings to fabricate components accurately.
  • Structural Steel Plating: Cutting, shaping, and preparing steel plates for welding and assembly.
  • Assemble fabrication work and pass to welders for final assembly.
  • Using Manufacturing Tools: Operating fabrication machinery and hand tools to get the job done.
  • Precision Work: Ensuring all parts are cut, fitted, and aligned to spec before welding.

Qualifications: required for Plater

  • Time-served Fabricator/Plater via formal apprenticeship or relevant vocational training (NVQ, City & Guilds or BTEC Engineering qualification) with valid certificate copy to be shown.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £18.22 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Atherton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
  • Do you hold either-NVQ, City & Guilds or BTEC Engineering qualification
