Impact Recruitment are currently working with a market-leading manufacturer who produce high-quality drain covers used across infrastructure and construction projects.

As a growing business with a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Plastics Supervisor/Setter to join their weekend shift team. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical setting skills with team supervision and production management.

Supervisor/Setter - Weekend Shift

Location: Yaxley, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £19.24 per hour + £100 weekly shift allowance

Hours: Friday to Sunday, 05:45 - 18:00

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and maintain plastics manufacturing machinery
  • Lead and supervise the weekend production team
  • Troubleshoot machine and process issues to minimise downtime
  • Train and support operators on equipment and procedures
  • Monitor production output to ensure targets and quality standards are met
  • Carry out quality checks and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency efforts

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in an injection moulding environment
  • Hands-on experience in machine setting and troubleshooting
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership in a factory/production setting
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to process improvements
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
