Job description

What Are We Looking For?

Our Chemical and Biological team is looking for a Plastic Pipefitter to join our Cumbernauld office on a permanent basis. You will be joining a team that is experienced, working on water projects across Scotland.

Please note this position will require flexibility on working location, with accommodation provided by RSE.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Fabricate pipework from customer samples and/or engineer’s drawings to client & industry specifications.
  • Undertake maintenance/repair work in existing pipework systems.
  • Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems.
  • Safe use of hand tools, machinery and other equipment.
  • Assist other disciplines when required.
  • Accurately record man-hours.
  • Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set.
  • Opportunities to work both within our local fabrication workshop and remotely as part of our site installation teams across the UK.

What Do You Need?

  • Time served and fully qualified with experience within the fabrication/engineering industry.
  • The ability to operate a range of metal forming machines, including Grinders, Pipe Benders, Die Equipment.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the sequence of events required to fabricate and form pipework and manifolds including site run of pipework without drawings.
  • Possession of MSRA, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and Asbestos awareness certificates is preferred but not essential. Experience in Chemical Dosing would be advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
