Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our Cambridge team. The role focuses on plastering repairs in occupied social housing, delivering high-quality finishes and maintaining a clean, respectful environment for residents.

You will perform patch repairs, full wall skims, ceiling works and related duties with a professional approach. The role requires independence, good communication and commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in domestic plastering repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service, experience in occupied homes.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work.
• Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plastering repairs in occupied properties.
• Complete patch repairs to walls and ceilings after leaks or other trades.
• Prepare surfaces and apply plaster, bonding, boarding, rendering and skimming.
• Repair damaged walls/ceilings, patchwork and full re-plastering.
• Skim walls/ceilings where required and finish to a durable standard.
• Make good around frames, sockets and pipework.
